WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN ZETA DELTA LAMBDA?
Zeta Delta Lambda was established in Springfield, Ohio, on March 27, 1955, by a distinguished group of fraternity brothers: C. Leroy Ackea, Robert S. Anthony, Nathan Beavors, Fernan B. Clark, F. Llyod Corbin, Daniel Elmore, Luster Henry, Wallace W. Jackson, Ralley Jackson, Clearance Keller, Carl F. Jenkins, Lewis Paul, Maurice Reed, Leo G. Robinson, Douglas A. Rocko, George O. Right, and Francis O. Scott. These men, made up of doctors, lawyers, engineers, and college professors, sought to expand the presence of Alpha Phi Alpha in the community where they lived and worked.
Their vision allowed them to establish a local chapter to better serve the needs of the Springfield community and to promote the fraternity's aims of Scholarship, Manly Deeds, and Love for All Mankind. Over its 70 years of existence, Zeta Delta Lambda has successfully implemented key Alpha Phi Alpha programs within the Springfield community, including Brother's Keeper, A Voteless People is a Hopeless People, Go-to-High School, Go-to-College, and Project Alpha.
