Zeta Delta Lambda donated a commemorative plaque in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during his historic speech at Antioch College at the Yellow Springs campus.
Dr. King’s speech took place exactly 100 years after Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, to announce the end of the Civil War and the abolition of slavery. In his address, Dr. King stated, “We must all learn to live together as brothers, or we will all perish together as fools. This is the great challenge facing our nation and world today.”
